vg30dett swap

Is it possible to fit the vg30dett engine from a 300zx, I know people put ls1's and so forth in these cars but I figure if they could fit that engine in there then a v-6 would certainly fit. Those engines are heavy (I know) but they are solid and bullet proof.

Why the 13b is a great engine, and this is coming from a 300z fan. If you want to do a swap so bad why don't you just save up and do the 20b swap. Its a mazda so stick with a mazda engine.

I wouldn't think that would be a wise swap. the VG30 is a great engine, but not for the 7. It's heavy and it's massive. It'd put your 2800lb car well over the 3000lb mark.

VG30DETT is not bullet proof. It is plaqued with problems. (however not as many as the 13B ) This is coming from a 300zx owner.

I've seen 2JZ and RB26 swaps done in RX-7s before, those two are much better engines and the Supra TT motor costs about the same as the VG30 anyways. Much better choice if you feel the need to leave the rotary.
