Updated track times and paint job...

Well I hit the 11's! 11.98 at 115 1.68 60' on the nitto 555r's!

Slapped on a new paint job as well. Went with satin black.... The car is down now, swapping over to the factory buick ECM and an LS1 MAF setup. Should be alot more streetable than the old DFI 6.0 unit. I was avg. 15-18 mpg. Should avg 22mpg+ with the new lean cruise chip!! If I install a LU converter 28mpg+. Not bad MPG for an 11 sec street car...

Hoping for low 11's at 120+ with the new te-61 turbo and GTQ exhaust wheel, and a nicely tuned alky chip for the factory ECU!

I was thinking of putting louvers on it? Anyone have a good pic of a 2nd gen with louvers? I'm go'n mad max style...

Congrats man....I always contemplate getting a Buick GN someday lol And gas mileage is nice for a car that fast. Are you running an auto tranny by the way?

Yup, running the factory buick 200-4r auto. trans. With WAY to large of a converter 3400 9" art carr non LU unit. I think that huge converter is the only reason the factory NA rx-7 rear diff has held up. Going with an manual would be nice for roll races, but it would destroy the rear end if you tried to drag race it!

What paint did you use on the exterior?

That looks awesome in a MAD MAX sorta way. Too bad the scoop has to be so big but frankly, the rear end is what most people will see the most of anyways right? BTW, are those 555s hooking strong with a 3400 stall or does it do the wiggle before it digs in?

The car pretty much dead hooks at the track I was amazed. I'm to much of a tight *** to do a big burn out before mylaunchI usually just spin the tires a little to get thedirtoff. But I was pulling constant 1.6-1.7 60 ft times. Launching at 6lbs of boost. If I beef up the rear brakes I think I could launch at 10+ lbs of boost and net some low 1.6 or 1.5 60 foots. On the other hand it spins all over the place on the street. Rolling at 45 if I stop the gas it flashes the converter and lights'm up! It's fun!

New track times.

Getting the car dialed in with new trans. Managed a 120 trap last week! Unfortunatly I've lost my spool up down low and can't build boost off the foot brake anymore. Oh well lots of street roll racing until I figure it out. Got some evil top end now! 27lbs of boost on 91 octane and methanol injection. Zero knock, it's awesome!

hey i trapped 116, i guess this proves i could hit 11's with a good 60ft

(i had a 2.2 60ft on my 12.8 run)

edit: i'm guessing you have quite a bit more tq than me, but i'm hoping i could still hit an 11.9x pass

A 120 trap but only 2.11 60ft! You know there's a second to be had at the big end if you tried some drag slicks!

And don't be such a tight ***, light them up good in the burn box. Oh and keep the front wheels pointing forward when you feel them lifting.

Slicks would also cause a broken axle. I don't even have the tII rearend. So I've been pushing it this whole time.

The cars biggest problem isn't traction it's gearing. The buick motor redlines at 5300. 410 gears a 200r4 trans and 5300 rpm don't go together well. I need at lot less gear. I'm in OD right after half track. Theres a good second to be had with the right gearing. And to do that I need to cut out the back of the car and install ladder bars and a soilid rear. Then i'll add slicks as well. Problem is, thats expensive!

Thanks 4 the input though!
