No, it's not that simple (putting a 13b into an Eclipse, that is!).
First of all, the 4g63 came in FWD and RWD configs. In the RWD config, there are wideblocks and narrow blocks. The engine that came in the Mighty Max pickup is a 4g64 (also came in wide and narrow). It's basically a stroked (and slightly bored) version of the 4g63 with 6mm extra deck height to compensate for the 100mm stroke. The late '80's B2600 bellhousing matches the wideblock bolt pattern exactly, and as the B2600 uses the TII R-tranny, it bolts up to the TII tranny. See? 4g63/64 wideblock -> B2600 bellhousing -> TII tranny. BOLTS RIGHT UP.
By the way, of all these engines, ONLY the 95-99 FWD (narrow 7-bolt) 4g63's are known to crankwalk. Thus, any engine you could possibly bolt up to a TII tranny will not be likely to walk. Oh, and I guess I should mention that I own one of those 7-bolts that is still running great, 20 psi daily and 10 years later.
If I sound like an ***, it's because I repeat this information on a regular basis, and yet almost no one seems to know or believe it, like it's something that I pulled out of my ***. www.projectzerog.com has PLENTY of information about the 4g63 wideblocks and RX7 tranny.
And like I said, it's a better motor than the SR20. The SR20 has a short deck, short rod length, and crappy R/S ratio. It's okay if you're keeping it a 2.0L but if you ever want to stroke it or run a higher R/S ratio, you're pretty much SOL. The 4g63 also has a really great quench pad design and will tolerate a LOT of detonation. Strong internals, too.

Like I said before, there's more info than even I know over at Project Zero-G. I only mentioned it because it seems to me to be a better option than the SR20, and it's at least worth looking into. It should be easier to accomplish and just as cheap, if not cheaper.

And to the SR20 trash talker... How about I take my S13 with S14 SR20DET up against your Mitsu engine and see which one's better?
