the post count comment was not neccesarily directed at you. its my belief that many of the high post flammers on this forum have little humility. every one has asked stupid questions, its a part of learning. i bet you have ask something stupid in your time on this forum.

a reasonible thread consist of a question and responses. the majority of which are responses. your responses contribute to this thread NOT being reasonable, and being benificial to no one except your own gloated self worth. its ridiculous to ridicule people for asking a question in a forum design for those type of questions.

its stupid! there are too many threads that have a second or third post that say.. get out your flame suit! or get ready to be flamed. flaming is getting out of control.

this forum is a search tool. part of searching for involves asking questions.

P.S. I didnt mention the RB25 or RB26 because the aftermarket is bit narrower and WAY more expensive. SR20's are growing like a virus over here so parts are getting cheap. You wont find any of these motors for under 2k, except a Red Top SR20 for maybe $2100 w/ tranny. But you'd want a Black Top if you're gonna beat on it, and dont wanna re-build it.
What is a 280sx? you must be confusing the early 80's 280zx and the 180sx(not sold in the states, it was basicly a 240sx but with the ca18det) Second if your going to swap a motor into a Z31 I would suggest either the rb20det, which again was not in the states, but was named the 200zx over in japan if you look you can pick up frnt clips, finally if you have the money you can always try to pick up a 300zr motor, which was a z31 witha vg30det.

Now as far as the RX7 goes and for what you want, stay with the rotary motor. Save the money that you would spend on fab and put it back into suspension and other "goodies".
