To echo Rarson;
That was a fairly well thought out post and reply, and at least showed a glimmer of reason.
I still don't agree with a lot of your decisions on the car, and think you'll regret many of them, and probably fail at some others, but, it's your car, and your right to try, fail or succeed.
Good luck with it, either way.

here is my build up in case you want to know.
now I know this is an older scenereo but I fix BMWs all day and want something simple and cheap.
here goes
1979 RX7 nice body running engine and good trans price $ free (owner owed me some money)
the motor ford 302 purchased a 1984 Merc. price 250 bucks
the trans ford non-electronic AOD.
kit, grannys speed shop V-8 swap kit price ebay 100bucks
current work...
302 dissambled and cleaned hottanked and inspected, bored .30 over aligned bored and decked. price free (my brother is a machinist)
Purchased engine kit from summit racing w/forged pistons 440$
cam and intake summit racing 400 bucks
had heads worked and ported mildly
carb is a used holley off of brothers car gave him 50
trans, dissambled and inspected, rebuilt with transgo kit new clutches, steels, seals and such. comes with mods for valve body price 220 bucks (summit racing) labor free (by me)
sold trans from RX7 +175
sold motor parts from RX7 +50
sold parts from 84 merc. +200
so I have most of what I need to complete except for hoses and radiator.
that is a total of 665 bucks for this project. and should be in the 250-300 range and be a very streetable car, and a decent drag car. all under stock hood.
just my .02$
