I have been really busy with work lately, but I had a chance to get a few things done. I took it up and had a 4 wheel alignment and it drives perfect now, better then my 240 ever did. I put on a bunch of silicon reducers and an air filter that came in last week, I pretty much have all my boost leaks fixed. I have been tweaking it and taking it out on test drives all night and I finally have it where Im happy. I added a fan which has helped alot. Next step is to get a new exhaust made

O yea I made the hood fit by shaving the inside of it and taking off the timing cover and backplate, but then it rested right on the belt. I just put some kind of material over the hole for the time being.

Who says he'll want to stay at 300rwhp? Once he gets use to it, he'll be shooting for 400+ next. Frankly, I would be bored with 300rwhp in an FD right off the bat. Infact, the 326 mine made the last time it was running right, was okay, but not the thrill I look for in my cars. Hence my FD won't be back on the road until it's pushing at least 450rwhp...

Do you have any pictures of the downpipe routing? Or anyone with this type of swap?

you don't want pics of my downpipe routing, Im just using the stock rb25 downpipe, it crosses over by the shifter, the exhaust Is next on my list to get redone

Sorry for the lack of updates, my car has been sitting up at my local tune shop for like 2 months waiting for a discontinued power fc for my rb25. I should be picking it up this week.

the car is back in business and running better then ever, but now the clutch is shot lol. It never ends

I think if you have to ask that question, you shouldn't do this swap. Wiring is the LEAST of your worries, and this is comming from someone who has this swap on his FD.

well i was asking about the wiring because i have been researching about doing this swap since my friend is willing to sell me his rb25det with rb20 trans for cheap as hell, i know this swap requires a shit ton of work, modifications, and fabircations. i never saw anyone talking about the wiring so i was just wondering if it was that easy to wire or a pain in the ass to wire. just figured i would ask befor i jumped in to the swap my self.

yea the car is disassembled and at the paint shop right now. Im working on replacing all the gaskets and cleaning up the engine.

Its that a universal radiator? Or is it a car specific?

its for a 240sx with a ka, the necks are on the same side as rb radiator

Thank god You changed the Subframe Id bet that if you were to slide in to a curb or take a hard enough hit You would shear those long bolts right off

Pretty Sick I love the sound of an Rb even tho i'd never swap one in I prefer the 1jz its much cheaper here in canada I can get a Complete swap Out of a front clip for about $2gs the rb25/6 got for much more than that

my front clip was 3k, im happy how it is turning out even though i had to go through so much work and money to get it were it is now

At least the new stuff you've pictured is, better. I don't know that I'd say "great" but, definitely better.

Where did you get those RE CF light surrounds? Are they for the EVO-R kit or the RE-A kit?

Im not really sure what kit they are for. I bought them on ebay for like $250. My light kit is all peiced togeather and the fitment is not as good as I would like. Im going to sell the whole kit and by something else eventually.

Another RB25 RX-7! Have you got a thread on this? I want to do an RB26 one.. I am sure I will get plenty of stick for it! It has only been done twice that I can find and guess it is a bit more of a mission to do! But hey.. That's the fun! I have been following this thread on and off and fair play to you buddy..
What did you do on the electrics/ECU side.. I don't remember reading anything about that. Was it hard?

The wiring was not that bad, Im running a power fc. I still don't have my factory gauges hooked up though. I need to by a converter from dakota digital.

Im painting it a house of kolor white. Right now im replacing all the engine bolts with arp bolts and upgrading all the gaskets. Im also painting the block, head, and powder coating most of the parts candy apple red.

I will have pics of the motor and the car all painted when I move in my new house here in a month or so.

other then your lights I think your car looks pretty good. Do the rb26 valve covers fit right up on a rb25?
