hahaha wait before we judge?
we are judging you on what you have shown us so far.
if you dont want us to see the sketchy mounts, etc. then dont take pics of them to show us!

isnt that simple?

I hear ya, and interesting budget, getting pretty steep though.... I think you will need/want some very high quality tires, and FRESH ONES as this build is taking a long time. I know from experience that fresh tires are lightyears better than even year-old tires that have been stored properly.

rXzach93fd 12-18-08 08:10 AM

you guys asked for progress, so thats what you got!

JTurtonRX_7 12-20-08 06:58 PM

clean build, really like the body lift kit

JustinStrife 12-20-08 07:07 PM

I hope to see pictures and videos when she's done. Always loved the sound out of those nissan 6cyl's.

rXzach93fd 12-20-08 07:48 PM

i dont think i will evan waste my time posting video or any more progress for people to just say it looks like shit...

Miata_mx5 12-21-08 10:46 AM

its not anyone picking on you. the work that we see done isnt done very well. the welds dont look good, the spacing you did was half asked, etc. i know you say your going to fix it... but why not just do it right the first time? it takes so much more time to do it then take everything back out just to do it again.
i like the idea of throwing out the 13b and doing your rb. you have a lot of money into your project. just take your time and to it the best you can!
good luck man

GoodfellaFD3S 12-21-08 02:16 PM

Throw out the 13B.......to make 300 rwhp. I have to say, I don't get it.

It's an RB, even though it was sold in what was equivalent of a G35 Coupe in it's day, it was crafted by the hand of god.

It can handle 600 hp on stock internals and run 10s.  Didn't you know all RB's can automatically do that just because of the designation??

No one get's it either.

this might be the most ghetto motor swap i've ever seen.

rXzach93fd 12-23-08 12:38 AM

new subframe came in today, but i wont bother anyone with pics lol, also added more support for diff and tranny and finished up exhaust, all the wiring is done, just waiting on throttle body....it will be on the rode by next weekend

jacobcartmill 12-23-08 01:13 AM

are you going to reinstall your 1" lift kit on the new subframe?

now your just going out of your way to be a dick. my guess is he bought the tech 2 sub frame and that will eliminate all the spacing issues he had?

i had the subframe made and it is like the tech 2, its tube but the motor mounts are not attached to it, there are no spacers now

It seems you are going to have a VERY unique car. I'd like to hear how it sounds when it's done. Looks like whole lotta work but it also looks fun! keep up the good work!

well thanks, i think that the first nice comment i have

rXzach93fd 12-28-08 10:17 AM

ok she runs now, but still some things need to be worked out. I had to find a bigger fuel pump for one, I will put that in today. The next thing is overheating, so Im going to try and move things around and fit another fan on the radiator, if that doesn't work I will have to get a koyo or something...

roachdiddy 12-28-08 10:27 AM

spal fans. thats all you need. a 12" puller and a 10" pusher.
