It's not as Ghetto as some of the FD's I've seen in the 3rd gen picture thread. And if he gets it running right, it'll be a hundred times more reliable than anything they have.

wow that scares the hell outta me!

the subframe spacers.
the mounts.
the contact with the radiator.

so scary, and thats just what I see with a quick glance! eeeeeeek!

but I know how a big build can look goofy while being in-the-works, so no hard feelings, just want you to address the problems with a quality solution.

cool setup, that'll be fun. props!

yes its not complete yet, and for any haters here is a few words from the guy who is helping me do most of the work, we have this on other thread and everyone things they are expert mechanics, this is what he had t osay

'ok first off, the steering shaft isnt a butt weld lol, pics of that seems to be it but trust me its a tube slipped over the shaft, its not even done yet.

next hockey pucks yeah they work and im going to stand by them 100% get on other forums and what not these things dont deteriorate for years.

your whining about a subframe that has been spaced? ok this subframe doesnt support the engine anymore, there isnt anymore lateral wieght being thrown around when there is hard braking or a hard pull.

This thing will be perfectly safe to drive, i wouldnt give anyone a car that i thought it would just break on them. I would love to see a subframe just fly out a car rofl or the motor end on on the road.

These arent finished pictures of the car, the front subframe area we have talked about adding more bracing and tying it to the chassis. He wont need to have this redone, these thing isnt going to break on him, trust me ive done some **** lol and this stuff is gonna be alright, if somone wants to hate on this come out and look at it in person, see it infront of your face, and then hate on it please feel free too.''

I hardly call the DriftSTL gang experts lol. However, the build looks good to me. I want a ride when it's finished. Probable smoke my FD anyway...

WoW you turned a really nice car into a complete PoS. What a hack job. Then again you could have done it right and it would still be worse off stock for stock.

Die In A Fire,
Barban.

P.S. your welds look like ****. Even for MIG welds.

I read through the entire thread, and wasn't going to post until reading this

A 13B-REW will run for a long, long time at the 300 rwhp level. Unreliable? Only if the owner does something stupid. I just don't really see the point to all this work.

I don't have anything nice to say otherwise, so I'm not going to say anything at all
