Need info on swapping FD?

I am searching for Fd's and I'm looking for a roller/dead engine car to swap a 2JZ or Rb25 into. I am about a 6 weeks away from starting the project, spent today cleaning the shop up making a hole, and the guy buying my R33 is waiting for about $3G to come his way and it's his-that's what I'm waiting on.
My questions are:

How is the FD harness split? Does the whole engine harness to the ECU come out with the engine, or does it split in the middle and the ECU side is one with the car harness?

If I get an auto car, can I use a JDM clutch pedal and master(local importer has a FD clip) or is it all backwards?
I can weld and fab(my profesion), but I'd like the master and pivot part of the pedal to bolt in, if it's backwards I need to source the USDM parts or look for a 5sp car instead-but I found a clean auto for the right price.

Lastly, any annoying trouble spots to watch for on higher mileage FD's? Like power stuff not working rust in places etc?

Thanks in advance for the help, master in the import world, but completely new to the FD. Time to learn.....

Two questions:

Is the R33 legal? And what type is it?

EDIT: And pics of it please.

The R33 is as legal as they get now that motorex is gone. For proprietary reasons I can't offer the extensive details of how I licensed it, but it's a legit assemebled vehicle in WA State. I already had a Patrolman and ICE agent show up thinking they were going to seize it, I showed them my paperwork and then the door. It is a R33 GTS-T rear drive with the RB25DET. It's is currently in the body shop getting prepped for paint, the buyer is wanting to paint it a darker shade of gunmetal so we are holding on that, but if it takes too long I may offer it for trade for a FD and cash. The glass/lights and bumpers are all removed for paint it's not much to look at right now. Specs are:
