M70 BMW V12 in a FC3S

I was looking around at my local pick a part yard and found a 750i BMW with an intact V12. So i did some research and found out people are running Haltech E11's on them and that motors themselves can be found in good condition for around $500. so i figured i would see if anyone else had thought about using a BMW V12 in a RX-7 and had any more info that might be useful.

lol.
man I'm just joking, me if anyone would be right there helping you do the swap if you lived close by.
go for it.
I sure dont think maintenance or tuning is any fun for your wallet or time on a BMW motor especially one as rare and complex as the V12 but hey go for it.
I think the LS1 or GNX motors are dead ringers for the perfect FC swap and they can be done on the cheap, but if you can get the V12 for cheap then do it up, rock on man.

oh yeah that reminds me isnt there some V12 Supra in JDM land that was built for an all out speed challenge? TopFuel maybe? some Toyota V12 was stuffed in the bay and it was a monster of a project.

Topspeed's V12 Supra. yea it used Toyota's V12 motor.

i always loved the 3.8L tubro V6 in a GN but i just cant bring myself to butcher a GN.

as for this motor switching to a dry sump can save me almost 6inches in the hight off the motor so that might net the ability to leave the steering rack be.

If you can get the engine that cheaply you should just grab it just so you can see what you can fit it in. If it will fit in an FC then do it!

the S54 from an M3 is expensive a single E11 can run the V12 they are rated for up to 12 cylinders and 16,000RPM. of crouse i would rather wait to put it in and boost it.

If you are concerned about the expense of a BMW crate engine then you are in way over your head. Junkyard v12 or not.
