Mustangs make great power but don't handle as well as the 7.

The motor in the 7 sucks, and it handles great. Combine the 2 and what do you get?

Why do I have to impress you with my intellect? I do enough of that at school. I definately dont have to impress you or anyone in a car forum. Also I can agree that rotaries dont have the best output when compared to an engine 4 times its displacement, but that quikly changes with some upgrades and fine tuning. And the reason the 7 handles well is because of its weight distribution, which im pretty sure you destroy when you put a big *** 8 in there.

A Ford 302 with alumnium heads doesn't weigh a whole lot more than the 13B. Regardless of what you do to the 13B its not going to make considerable torque, atleast not compared to the 302. So answer my question. What happens when you combine 2 of the greatest cars in the world?

alias, where can i find info about the 302? because as far as my engine window shopping is concerned it's down to a 302 and an LS1. they both seem to come to around the same cost and i have no problem building an engine.

That's correct, but then again, how many 10.4 litre engines do you know of? (2.6 x 4 = 10.4)

Wrong.

When you say school, do you mean automotive or grammar? Either way, you need some more of both.

Do you have any idea what stock SR20 internals can handle? If you did, you would be embarassed of what you just mentioned!

"hello. im a ****** tool. I say **** because i heard someone else say it therefore uhh...."

while the first KA was in a truck, the KA24DE (later DOHC version) debuted in the 240sx.

In the Az240sx club there are two major forces for the KA camp. One with 504whp on mildy built internals
and another with 325ish (more with more boost and fuel) on a damn near stock KA and its been running for over 3 years with lots of track days. Short lifespan on boost? i think not.
Im not saying KATs are better than SRs, but they are definitely a viable option, esp when you can go to autozone and they have everything you need in stock.
And whoever said the KA crank isnt forged needs to do some homework. The only thing holding the KA back is its unfavorable bore/stroke ratio. With some cams, headwork and better rods/pistons you can make power over 7k. I have a KA crank in my garage, im eventually going to have the stroke reduced by ~5mm and then bore the block by at least 1mm. this combined with longer rods would provide a free-revving, 2.3ish liter motor that would handle sick boost, or make a nasty NA beast. ignorance should be a crime.

OK, I have had about enough of this thread.

For those of you who are opposed to any type of engine swap for an RX-7, please do us all a favor and stay out of this engine conversion forum.
