...I don't see the problem; unless you're talking about the auto-swap. Volvo 2.3's are just about as robust as the ford 2.3 lima motors. Check out turbobricks...

I currently own a 240, and have had a few throughout the years. I love the cars, but in Naturally aspirated form the motors are gutless. I suppose he was going for reliability.

I've seen people who have used Volvo heads on their ford 2.3 before.
