Nice car. I saw a few decent videos of a car with that hood on norotors and it really didn't look bad. It's growing on me.

Did you get your gauges wired up, or no?

I bought a Dakota Digital Speedo Adapter from Summit so that my speedo would work.

My tach was wired up by my brother during my 2JZ install.

For your speedometer, were you able to come off the speed sensor on the side of the R154?

Brent,

My brother was able to wire up the TACH from the R154, IIRC.

For the SPEEDO though, the OP and I both used the Dakota Digital universal adapters.

The hood thing is the only thing I really hate about this swap. If I was ever to do this swap I would have to do a dry sump oiling system just to get the engine down and use the stock hood.

Yeah, I'm not particularly fond of the hood myself, either...

I could run a stock hood on my FD if I take the GTE plastic valve covers off.

I LIKE the Scoot hood, so I'll end up getting that down the road anyways. :P

You need the Dakota adapter boxes, I have them too.
However, for the speedometer did you go off the wheel speed sensor on the side of the R154, or somewhere else.

The tach doesn't come from the transmission..

lol oops..should have re-read what I typed about the tach signal. Then again, one more reason why my brother did all the wiring for my swap. lol

I'm not sure of the details regarding the wiring for the speedo, Brent.

we used a sc300 speedo gear modified from the r154, modified bracket to hold sensor and rewired wires to go to the dakota boxes.

We basically had to drive down the road and play with the dip switches on the dakota box to see which ones worked... ima post a pic of mine up here is just a bit
