I am think about doing a engine swap on my 1985 RX-7. Right now I have a 12a motor and I looking at the possibilities of swapping out this motor with a 13b or something else!!! What I would like to know how or what it will take to do a swap out on the 1st gen? Is the any conversion kits available to do a swap out possibly to a V6 or a V8? I would like to know as much a possible on this as to what has to be changed out beside the engine and transmission possibly? I would greatly appreciate everyone's help and point me in the right directions!!

As far as swapping the 12a with a 13b it has been covered extensively in the 1st gen specific forum and can be found by using the search terms 13b swap.

As far as other swaps there are many threads in this forum that can be found by searching.
