Ok I know I have posted a lot latley but the guy that is going to help me wants to get started soon,so I'm scrambling to find an engien and tranny.

The guy helpign me has a rebuilt Turbo350 with B&m shift kit for $500.
It seems liek a good deal but its and auto[I like stick]and it has no overdrive which everybody says is really nice in Fb with 4:10 gears.would I tear my motor out whith a turbo 350[or any non OD tranny],and limit my top end?

I know some people use a 700R tranny with overdrive but that costs a bit more and is still an auto.though I suppose They are probly still easy to find from a bone yard.

Finally I found a muncie m21 on ebay 30 minutes from home

Is this tranny strong?or is it only the rock crushers that are anygood?I know It dosn't have an Overdrive but I would rather have a stick without overdrive than get better MPG with an auto with OD,providing the lack of OD dosn't tear my engien with the higher rpms and limit my speed too much.

Thanks
