Other Engine Conversions - non V-8 Discussion of non-rotary engines, exc V-8's, in a car originally powered by a Rotary Engine.

Does anyone think this would be a excellent project and how much would it cost?

I have an idea that would be a ultimate sleeper, get a 93-95 civic hatch back the si model and throw a full s2000 motor and complete drive line in the car and turbo charge the motor you,d have a ultimate sleeper and a rear wheel drive hatch back everyone give me your comments and estimated price costs to make it happen peace.

A horrible idea, really. Unless you are really good welder and have a bit of experience with chassis design. Price would be high, finding someone who could do a good job and would want to get involved in such a potential disaster would be even rarer. I'm all for something cool and different, but you might as well build a tube frame and lay Civic body panels over it- I think it would be cheaper.
Seriously- why would you pick a Honda?
Get an RX7 and put whatever engine you want in it. A 2nd gen is cheaper than a Civic and has plenty of parts available for it.
Avoid paying $5K for a wimpy S2K drivetrain and get an LS1/T56 complete for less than $3500.
