Thanks, I'm gonna see if I can start it by next week. With all that wiring I did, I only have a few other things left before I can start it. Wont be road worthy for a little while, but would be nice to know it runs!

I wired in the last fuel pump this evening. I have spent the last 3 days with the help of a buddy, checking connections, wiring, grounds, lighting, have a few bugs to workout but its looking pretty good for the most part. Got the laptop and the aem goin, getting readings from almost all sensors, plx gauges hooked up and tested all but my pressure sensors, won't know till I have the car running (I might kill the spark and crank it on just the starter to verify oil pressure prior to starting. I did bump the starter to test if its working, and its good to go. Bought oil and coolant, so hopefully put that in and see if I can get it fired up tomorrow!

ITS ALIVE!!! We got it started today. took some messing with the throttle body/ tps sensor that needed some adjusting. Only let it run for about 5 seconds or so. I have an open 4inch downpipe so when it did fire up it was pretty loud... I'm gonna fab up the rest of the exhaust soon. I had good oil and fuel pressure. And no leaks which was probably the best news.

I'm gonna work on setting up the aem and start messing with stuff to figure out the high idle and find a stock tune to get things kinda normal. Basically have about a million things total to work on, but eventually it will be ready.

Absolutely! Still lots of work to do but I can see the end result so it doesn't seem as overwhelming.

Working on welding up the rest of the exhaust so next time I start it its not just an open down pipe. Hopefully this will sound good only time will tell.

Finished the exhaust about 90%, just have to put some fancy tips on it. But that can wait. Here's it all mounted up.

I do still live in Nola, I'm on the west bank over in marrero. The project was kinda put on hold cause of life stuff as usual. But I'm about ready to start hitting it hard again.

I haven't posted in forever. I moved again. Damn coast guard telling me where to go. I bought a house in new Orleans that didn't have a garage so I built one and installed a lift. You could almost say I built my garage for my rx7. (How sweet)

Some updates on the car.

Had an issue with the idle, couldn't get it to come down past about 1600. Found out it was the throttle body letting to much air by. Lesson learned... buy a quality throttle body.

I chased a wiring issue down for a couple weeks. Found my Cam sensor wire had resistance in it. So it would start fine when it was cold but as soon as the car warmed up it would just crank and crank and crank. So had to run some new wires. I can thank the lovely people who did my wire harness for that.

I have to do a custom setup for the roll bar. Needs to be dropped about an inch. I placed the engine lower so the stock one would no longer fit. I don't really remember the reason for getting rid of the stock fuel tank. I think I just wanted to do some welding and fuel cells are cheap ($100). Plus I knew I wanted to put the battery back there and just wanted the setup to look clean and not thrown together.
