BASELINE DYNO DONE!
Dynoed the car today. Exhaust is ultra restrictive stock downpipe mated to a 2.5inch cat and full stock rx7 exhaust... lol. Quieter than a funeral but sooo restrictive!
Even so did pretty well for stock boost.
put down best of 232whp and 260ft lbs. Boost peaking at 11 psi, quickly dropping to 8.5-9
Will post graphs tomorrow... need to sleep now!

Put the ypipe and down pipe on. Still on stock cat back lol.
huge power gains, feels like +20whp. First gear just spins now. Boost peaks a little higher.
Install was a major pain in the ***. Took all ******* day...

Only took me 5-6 serious days of work to get it driving. Since then another 40-50 hours making everything work perfectly.
Probably 100 hours total now or more with the y-pipe and the work i did with the interior back when i started

> How much fab did you have to deal with to work that motor? My FC's RHD and I'm curious to know what kind of headaches you ran into dropping in the motor.

As long as you can cut, weld, wire, and measure you can do this swap.
biggest pain was extending the wiring harness... just took forever and of course it has to be perfect. I extended it too far, I recommend only bout 2 feet or less not 3.5 feet lol...
I took my time on it and soldered and heat shrunk every wire. I also color matched the wires from another junk harness i had so it took ALL day. About 7-8 hours. It would be very easy to run the ecu in the engine bay, but I hate that so I took the time.
The mounts were pretty easy. I went over how I made them already. I recommend at least 1/4 inch mild steel, I used 5/16ths mild steal and mig welded everything

> Good to go, my peeps up back in Sac figures as much. BTW, do you know a dude that looks like Jesus named Brian Vester? Says he knows you and was planning to pick your brain more on the swap.

> I'm pretty sure you'd recognize him if you saw him. He's about the only person I know around Sac who a) works on cars and b) has grown a Jesus-like beard.
