Clean little repu and I like the stance. Sucks that you have to worry about smog though.

 

yeah i know but its been stored for like 10 years hoping they would change the law but it never happened so i just took it out got it running im just gonna change the cab to an earlier model...

 

Sold it 10 years ago and still regretting it!

 

Been keeping it up and most of the time in storage. Now I got a 76 Cosmo that I am going to be working on.

I am simply a wankelfreak and love all cars etc. with a wankel inside my biggest dream came thrue in July last year, when I got a fantastic Mazda Cosmo Sport ! since then, I have become more and more interested in old rotary cars, and a week ago I got a pristine 1965 NSU Wankel Spider, originally sold here in Denmark and owned by the same guy for more than 30 years ! how lucky can one be :bounce: it is belived, that it is only the second one here in Denmark to actually run (about 10 in all) and the only thing that is not original is the color, it has been resprayed from white to red, the car has never had made any rust and have never been welded, it is allmost like new ! the engine have had a total rebuild 2 years ago, with better seals etc. uprated gearbox and better cooling and has only driven 200 km since then 8) it drives like a dream, and is just sooooo much fun and people just thinks this car is the cutest thing they have ever seen

^^ Definitely two of my favorites of all time. Need to get to Brisbane for a private tour of the collection!

 

A few of my project cars, i have:
6 rx3 coupes (5 are good, 1 is for parts)
2 rx2 coupes (1 is good, 1 for parts)
rx4 coupe (little bit rusty but all complete)
and a rx5/cosmo (very good condition, just needs a wash)
and loads of parts!

 

^^Very nice as well. So, I've been meaning to ask a NEWB old school question for a long time. Are the two different RX-3 noses that were offered interchangeable or are their differences in the fenders depending on which front end you have?

They're interchangeable with the fenders and everything except, from memory, the rx3 sp style front bumpers have bigger brackets on the front of the chassis rails and need to be cut down in order to fit the other like '73 style front.
The grey rx3 in my pic, with no nose stuff is a '77 sp, i need to find a nose for it but yeh

Don't give up the dream, soon you will have a 20b in your REPU. One day when you least expect it the opportunity will present itself and the next thing you know you will be knee deep in a 20b build. In the meantime, keep posting pics of your REPU. I never get sick of seeing
