That rx2 belongs to jesuscookies. It's turning out to be a badass ride not that it wasn't before but looks even better now with all the upgrades. Hope my rx2 looks just as good when I finish it. Still have a long way to go.

Wow, I even responded in his build thread. I can't believe I don't remember. Thanks for replying, I am also trying to get my RX2 finished. I have to wire up the motor side so I can atleast fire it up after the port job.

I don't think I found this in the other thread but what master cylinder are you using and do you still have the brake booster in the car? Thanks

GSL SE master cylinder. Yes the brake booster is still on. Not optimum, but definetly better than stock. I tried a 929 master, but it was going to require some fabrication and modification to work.

Yep stock locations for the 4 link. Moving the top ones forward would have been ideal, but then you are talking about a lot of cutting / welding and fabricating. Not what I wanted to do.

well here's the story:

Steve Kan tuned it and it put down 350 to the rear wheels at 10PSI, but we could not get the timing to stabilize, or the injectors to fire properly. Turned out that the Haltech was shot. I sent it off to haltech and they took over 3 months to return the e6k.

I just got haltech back last week from aussie land. Problem solved, timing is stable, and injectors fire.

I have driven it, and it is actually not as scary as I thought it was going to be. Especially coming from an FD. It put a big *** smile on my face, so I guess that about says how I feel about it.

With that said, it still needs a bunch of little things to get her dialed in, and I am just plum out of time, cash and desire to finish the job. I am burnt I guess. Either going to let her sit for a while, or sell her.. 1 of the 2.

Yep, can you believe it! days of ripping out wiring, re-wiring, screwing with the CAS, only to find out the Haltech was burnt.

At least it is fixed now.

Thats why Carburated N/A is so much easier. Computers are nice and when dialed in stay dialed in but it is common for them to fail too. I like it nice and simple.

I was wondering because I too want to go with the racing store fronts and an explorer rear and really questioned whether the master cylinder in the rx2 would have done the job.

Viking War Hammer- what ever happened to your corolla?

I can see why you hit 350whp at only 10psi. Very nice work.

It's not perfect but it does do the job. I am sure with some searching you can find somehting else that will bolt in.

In Australia they are using a MC out of a Nissan patrol. It is 1 1/16 and bolts right in. The problem is that both of the hose adapters are on the wrong side for left handed cars. There is no room to hook up brake lines.

I searched for a bit, and thought maybe a 280Z or Nissan Frontier might work, but never really investigated any further.

Got tired of it, or tired of everyone making fun it of it............... so I gave it away.

I've got a 1st gen now that I'm building.
