Hey Islandsnow, if you want a set of those shoot me a PM. I've located some and can most likely get you the whole kit. It will be on the slow boat though!

I found my R100 on Craigslist too, that seems to be a good source for old rotaries.

Little old lady garages

Hello,

I bought mine off the original owner in the fall of 2006. A little old lady. Originally heard about the car through the internet as an error posting by autotrader but thats a really long story. Was pure luck and chance on my part-timing was certainly in my favor.
1974 RX4 in original non restored and as "new" condition.

You need to stay on top of Ebay, Craig's list, Auto Trader, and do random searches on both Google and Yahoo by typing in the model like "Mazda RX4" or "Mazda R100". The most recent activity would show up hence a potential ad/posting.

Regards

Max

Here's a good Craigslist question, then. I'm in Atlanta, so I'd have to travel for any REPU. Is there any way to look up listings on CL by region or as a whole, or do you have to go to every damn city along the west coast in order to perform a search?

^Yep, cars trade hands a lot among friends and it's good to get into an "old school inner circle" so you find out ahead of time before something hits the open market.

Around the time I was looking though, none of my friends or sources had a decent RX2 so I ended up buying David's old project since he found another one. (The only car I've ever bought off a forum even though I've sold plenty that way!) Of course after I bought it some deals started popping up around my neck of the woods. Doh! I'm still very happy with my car as a great starting point but it helps to be patient and ALWAYS be on the lookout.

The easiest way to sort through all of craigslist fast is on google. Just type in what you are searching for and craigslist.org at the end.

IE. "rx3 craigslist.org"

This will pop up all sites with RX3 and craigslist.org and it is awesome since googles robots index the whole net for us.
