I was pretty sure the Parkway bus was 13B. I think the US spec series 3 FB RX-7's had the option of 12A turbo or 13B 6 port whereas the SA models from series 1 to 3 were all 12A, that's my understandng anyway. Or are series 1 & 2 SA and series 3 FB for the US?

Going a bit off topic, A lot of people over here have a tendancy to call all the first gen RX-7's FB instead of SA (we only got the 12A powered SA first gen RX-7 here).

rx3 sp is 12a and parkway bus is the 13b

.. you have left out all of the HB cosmo series ( used 13b RESi, 12a 6p and 12at )
HC cosmo ( 13b RE and 20B )

and rx9 ( the european double overhead headlight 929 before HB cosmo )

and the holden roadpacer

They aren't all SA either...
There is no such thing as a 13b SA

'78 - '80 is SA which is series 1
'81 - '83 is FB which is series 2
'84 - '85 is FB which is series 3

The VIN changed in 81, hence the different name

Yea I agree with SA's not being 13B. Maybe it's different in different countries? I was under the impression (any Aussie guys feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) that:

78-80 Series 1 is SA with 12A
81-83 Series 2 is also SA with 12A
84-85 Series 3 "Aussie spec" SA with 12A
84-85 Series 3 FB with 12A Turbo or 13B 6 port for US (and other?) market.

Therefore it would seem correct that any 12A Gen1 RX-7's should be an SA for the Aussie market?

Regular RX-3 had a 12a all of the SP's had 13b's, that's what made them special.

No RX3 Sp came with a 13B from the factory. .. they all came with 12A. What made RX3 SP special was the appearance package. 13B came on the RX4, RX5/Cosmo, REPU. Then it disappear till the gslse.

No RX-3 ever left the factory with a 13B engine. Not all RX-3SP's had the appearance package either.

Your right just checked the RX-3 SP manuals and it's 12a all the way. Must be old guy syndrome.

They don't have serial numbers or anything that can prove it came with a specific VIN. The only thing we have are design attributes.

I don't believe that you saw one of the 44 parkway 26 buses ever produced and it was 12a model to boot
