Sure, just so long as nobody reports the thread to the feds, everyone's okay. Truth is, sometimes it takes a little creativity to keep an old car legal, one way or another. Paper trails, emissions, ..... C'est la vie

Quote: Matt, I should trade you my Oregon Rx2 w/o a title for your Washington Rx2. It is often easier to title a car if it is not from out of state.

Another idea...
Years ago I have an Rx2 in Cali that I could not get smogged. So, I unscrewed the vin plate (yes it is just screwed down) and swapted it with plates to another car that has smog eqp. I took it in and got it smogged. Then swapted the vin and license plates back.

Just maybe, ytou could find a good running Rx2 in your areas, swap plates and title the other car with you numbers. Well, it is just a thought.
hey buddy theres a thought. I doubt they would check the vin on the frame rail. hmmm

well jsut talked to the Washington DVM, sia dwas supprized the car was still in there records. Cars usually drop off after 5-6 years with being updated. Mine has been over 7, Lucky me. So I will give it another week, to try and contact the old owner, and if that doesnt work i will try other solutions.

By the way, I would be interested in buy a RX2 title and vin plate,
If you know anybody with jsut a title I could get a vin plate made
from vintage rotary decals, if they are still making reproductions.
thanks matt22

WELL THEN<
I will not be able to get a valid title for this car, so as I said above I
will, either, hopefully get a different title and vin for the car;Sell it as
is, or part the sob out. SO that being said I will get more pics up on
this site asap as well as the vintage rotaries site and the ausrotaries
site. thanks for all your support guys. and I hope I can help some
of you out. Lates matt22

Grey areas, silver areas, or charcoal areas, what ever... I was pleased to keep driving the old car and no one got hurt. The shop I went to was pretty busy and may have just been luck that they did not look at the other places where the vin number was stamped.

It was jus a thought...

I too will be trying how to get paperwork on my lastest Rx2.
Good luck
