Weight of an RX-5?
Need to know the weight of a 1976 RX-5. Only reason I ask is because I am towing it, and I just want to make sure I am not over the towing capability of my truck. I am also factoring in the weight of the trailer.
I searched but did not find anything, I know somebody has a DEFINITE answer. Not an estimation.
Also, if anybody has spare parts send me a PM.
Thanks
-Justin

Feb 76 Car and Driver road test, on this site, says 2880 lbs. I have several FSM. Can't find curb weight listed anywhere in them.
I have a parts car, but it was turned into a race car. Interior is gone, cloudy lexan windshield, roll cage. Make a list when you get it home and I'll see what I have.
Here's an interesting video from the rx-5 site.

Thanks for the info. So I am going to guess that the curb weight is between 3000-3100 pounds. I will probably need alot of small things and interior pieces from what I have been told. I also need a front drivers side fender BADLY. The plus is the car drives and runs fine for it's age.
I have read up on that RX-5 in Australia. That thing is a monster and so gorgeous. I hope to have mine looking that mint one day, but as far as running 11's in street trim, that's alot of work.
I will compile a parts list of what I need when I get the car home in 2 weeks.
