Vintage Mazda Unobtanium????

So for fun I picked up this supposed vintage Mazda motorcycle gas cap from Thailand. Now I'm pretty sure Mazda never made any two wheeled vehicles and certainly not motorcycles. It does have the look of a scooter part being not nearly as robust as something automotive would be. New old stock apparently as well. The "m" logo dates from 1959 to 1975. Any ideas where this comes from?

Thanks!

Mazda 1st production vehicle was a 3 wheel motorcycle truck ( 3 wheel truck ) call the Mazda GO. started building them in 1931 and they where sold under Mitsubishi until 1936, even had a Mitsubishi logo on the side of the gas tank. After 1936 Mazda started selling under their own name when they started to open dealerships around Japan and exporting them to China

Guys, any ideas??!!!! Fellow Canadian from Halifax says his local Mazda dealership has a bag full of these but no idea where they're from. So they can't be that old, maybe early 70s. There was a suggestion that it might be a radiator cap instead.

Maybe something that would be lost a lot if they have a whole bag left. Gas cap?

It is a common gas cap used on everything from the R360 to cars in the early 70's
I bought mine from www.irex-jp.com as it fits my R360, Mazda T2000 and Cosmo Sport.
They still list some for sale at around $25 US plus shipping
