Turbo Install for RX-3SP

Has anyone installed an FD Turbo motor into an RX-3? Just trying to find out what I need to purchase/modified to make this happen. The motor is already installed and running with a J-Tech intake and a Holley 750. It's a ported motor with new apex seals, pulleys, single serpentine belt, MSDs and moroso oil pan.

I do have the FD intake which I am currently porting. The big questions is what or which turbo will fit the RX-3 engine bay without having to cut to body. Which or where will an intercooler fit with out having to damamge the body?

Any assistance or ideas will be appreciated.

on an rx3 depending on the manifold you have plenty of room for a nice size turbo.I have a r100 which has a tiny engine compartment and im using a to4e

Thank you for responding. DO you have to contact information for the company that makes the manifolds?

How much did you paid?

you can fit the whole engine + twin turbo's in an RX3 ... it requires some suspension mods and ditching the steering box

I have a photo I took of Carl Haywards car in the UK at an event last year. You can contact Carl via www.mazdarotaryclub.com (user name Carl)

The motor ids already in my car. I did not have to modify the stearring column. My concern is on the righ side of the motor. Where the turbo manifold hooks up into the 13B block. I have no problem with the 13B headers as it fits ok. I am purchasing a T-66 from turbonetics and this is where I have concerns. I will make contact with the site you provided. I'll send you some photos. Thank you for the info

you have the advantage of LHD ... I'm sure Carl will be happy to tell you how he did it ... fitting it all in without going to a single turbo looked like it was a bit of challenge

I put a twin turbos on my RX4, I built my own set up with lots of room, the only problem was with the streeing, put in a 2nd gen front end, the rear stree was in the way, the rear turbo which houng down to fare and got in the way of the center link, we know how poorly the brakes are and this was a million times better along with handling, go back in my history and you can find the pics
