IIRC, the firewall has to be modified to fir the bell housing and rear of the motor.

why build one when there is one for sale... im sure you could get this one for atleast 50 cents on the dollar for what it would cost to build your own

Mazda Sport magazine had an article awhile back about someone with a 13bt in a Miata. Was a very nice and clean build. I believe the owner and builder for the car works for NASA. It's been awhile since I've read the article, though.
