TII swap into a '71 BMW 2002 ......

Got a mangled '87 TII that was rearended really hard. Engine still starts no problem. It's totalled so my friend is selling me the engine block, wiring harness, ecu....... trans . Basically I can get whatever I need. I just need help wiring the ecu so I can power it up. I read the article about getting the wires from the alternator to the ecu and splicing into that. And the temp sensor, but that is for swapping it back into another RX7. Or are the wires from the alt all I need to do? What about the main fuses in the engine compartment that goes to the fi? Do I need to take that apart from the loom and just have it there?
Or do I need to splice some wire / wires to power up the ecu? Is the white/ red alt wire good enough as it is on the harness or do I need to trace the wires from the ignition switch? Any help would be appreciated. I will still be using the search function here and try to find some anssers. Thanks. D.
