Mate, that sure is a nice JC Cosmo.

A good place for JC Cosmo info in english is my web site at http://www.dmrh.com.au

The best place for them in a forum in English is http://www.ausrotary.com forum.

Plenty of Cosmo discussions going on in there.

The "Eunos Cosmo" owners club of Japan is at http://www.hotcafe.to/~c_cosmo/

Great site but Japanese only.

Here are some pics of my Cosmo

Have either of you considered swapping your 20b's into your rx7's? How fast are the cosmos?

BTW 87GTR, check your PM's

Mate, the paint is the factory deep-blue but with a tint of purple through it for effect. Mines a series-II "95" & the paint code on the "build plate" is different from the paint code on a series-I "90-93" version with deep-blue. I guess Mazda like to change things all the time.

As for wheels, I found this link on a Sydney based web site. Drove down there & bought them. They fitted on the FD RX-7 perfectly & I simply asked for the wheels from that RX-7. They fit perfectly I think.........

Not into that. Personally I believe you ruin an FD RX-7 by changing its balance & weight with a 20B engine. A single turbo 13B will do 350kW reliably & thats more than enough fun for a street driven car.........

The Cosmo is a luxury tourer that eats up mile after mile of highway with comfort & style, the torque from the 20B-REW engine makes the car a real "Jekyll & Hyde" machine ready to pounce on anything that crosses your path.

Since you haven't had the chance to own one or drive one, I understand that you would find it hard to understand why the 20B is best left in its home enviroment. The Cosmo is unique, exclusive etc etc & its a shame when they get butchered for the engine

I would kill for a Cosmo. Biggest mistake made by Mazda by not importing it.

DMRH thanks for the info on the color. I want to paint my FD around the same color.

I was hopping you knew the wheels specs, Im planning on ordering some on line.

18 X 8.5 front and 18 X 9.5 rear Im not sure what offset will fit. I think +35 will work

I've wondered about the manual tranny swaps too. Are the manual swaps common? What'll take the output of a tuned 20B?

So obviously when you do a T2 tranny swap, you'll need a custom driveshaft and some new pedals.
Would you use the pedal assembly out of an FC? Since they are available at any scrapyard.

I was told to use the pedals from T2 and find a T2 auto drive shaft that would fit.

Just signed up to this site!! Nice looking Cosmo!! I have silver E model that is being rebuilt at the moment for the last 3 months, dropped a load of cash, but is going to be worth it!! specs- Extend port, dowelled, Gt42 turb, twin fuel pumps, custom cooler, custom everything actually!! 3000 stall convertor, microtech etc. etc. etc.!!
Hopefully pick up next Friday?? Should be pretty sick! Will try to post more info and pics when I get it back.

Does anyone Know how tough the auto's are in these things, or if if you can do any mods to them, I have shift kit, but have been told that not many people know too much about them.

Oh well, good luck with the Cosmo....
