I'm not sure. but if you had a Rx-7 trans it would work.

If your car has a 74 or later engine in it using either the original 4 or 5 speed tranny or a 1st gen RX-7 tranny then a 1st gen RX-7 starter will work fine. The 73 and earlier twin dizzy engines used different bellhousings. There was both a top mount starter bellhousing and a bottom mount starter bellhousing used on the twin dizzy engine. None of the bellhousings that will bolt to the rear iron of a 73 or earlier twin dizzy engine is compatible with an RX-7 starter.

Lucky me,it is a single dizzy engine and I found a RX7 starter and it fit, now to find one that worksGo the junk yard with a hot battery. Why oh Why did the Mazda engineers come up with a top bolt 3in longer than necessay, going to fix that.
