Will an RX7 starter fit and work on an RX3 I cant see why not Bob

yes for side mount but not sure if a RX-7 will work on top mount

Top mount is way different.

If side mount, '74-'92 NA starter is possible. Maybe clean some casting flash out of the hole like I did on a '74 ribcase bellhousing. It fits an FC NA starter perfectly with 4mm to spare in the MG.
