i found a '72 5 door SW at a wrecking yard, the 10A engine is complete and has all the parts: starter, A/C, fan, belts, etc. etc, etc. with the carb and dual distributors. the body is almost completely straight with the exception of some rust. the interior is pretty thrashed though but still fairly complete.
now my question is, should i try to pick up the complete car and part it out or sell it off to someone who may want to restore it? how much is a 10A worth complete? how much is a 10A worth parted out?
if people want to give me a list of items they need i will make a decision based off of this thread on what to do about the car. i hate to see a vintage rotary go to waste and get stripped and gutted and crushed, i could save the motor and transmission at least. let me know your thoughts and ask your friends if they also have a vintage rotary or need parts from this, i willl try to give the best price but keep in mind i have to pay for gas and i am losing personal time in doing this.
and how about rebuilding it and selling it? i think i may check to see if there is any overhaul kits still available for these engines.
i assume it is a 10A, i should have added that question also, there is no markings on the housings that specify whether it is a 12A or 10A, the housings look smaller than any other i have seen so i assume it is a 10A.

Definately keep it, or sell it complete to someone to restore. For some of the technical answers you may want to try www.ausrotary.com or www.vintagerotaries.com
