Ya same here. The one that i drive every day has a 4 inch hole on the floor board by the passenger seat, it seams i loose things some times, i wonder if they fall through the hole? eheh. ya the rust can be an issue, but thank goodness these arent a unibody car then its get scarrier.

Wow, that dude Tom has some sweet projects. Can Repu's actually be made to handle that well? What kind of suspension mods does that crazy truck have?

$15k worth! Actually, $15k was spent on the whole thing, including the suspension before he got it. I don't know what it has exactly. Anyway, it corners extremely well. I had to hold onto the door handle for dear life. It can corner in a 35MPH offramp at above normal highway speeds on dry road.

Oh, and by the way, that GLC now belongs to me.

HEY MAN!!! That's my dad's old REPU. Check the other thread where I responded to you question about, "anyone recognize this?"

If you want the dirt on your old REPU I'd be happy to get back to you.

How's that thing handle compared to your 7? BTW, do you have a socal rx sticker in your back window? I think I saw you on the 91 freeway westbound a week or so ago.

Handels like **** compared to my rx7. But I am working on it. Put Dunlop SP8000 245/50/15's on the rear and that really helped reduce oversteer and fish tail wag. Increased front tire pressure, which helped, but still needs SP8000's in the front too. And suspension tuning.........................

YEP, I have the white socal rx sticker on back window and drive 91 to work M-F.

There were 2 guys in San Fran that raced turbochared REPU in Open Street Prepared. They finished 2nd and 4th inthe season, first place was Viper. They did get them to handle; one guy had 3 front sway bars and 100lb stiffer front springs; that's about all I know about their setup.

Lack of LSD makes it tough to accelerate out of corners. But me and others are slowly looking at other options...............................

Extended Cab REPU in Seattle

If anyone here wants to restore a unique REPU, or if you are tall and never were able to sit in one comfortably, we have what you need. My son is selling the extended cab REPU I built for him 10 years ago. The engine died and needs rebuilding, but otherwise it is in good shape, a little superficial rust in a few spots.

Photos and some details are shown on the 4th page of this site:
