Yeah, what RotaryEvolution said. Until you can crawl all over (and UNDER) it, pics are worth nothing. It is in FLORIDA, after all.
I hope it's perfect. It just isn't likely. Very eager to see detailed info.

Am I missing something about Florida? usually cars here are pretty solid. When I talked to the owner last year, I asked him where he got it from, because its pretty rare to find a old RX here that's actually from Florida. He told me some guy had it stored in a garage up north for years before he got it.

Surrounded by saltwater, you aren't going to find many old school J-tin that has lived there its whole life that hasn't rotted away. Transplanted from a more hospitable climate makes sense. Remove the Florida statement, and the rest holds true, no matter what. Best case is, of course, the dry southest. J-tin started rusting while it waited to get on the ship to come here. Of course with excellent care and storage, they exist.

Of course, this sold before I could get there, but on the way to ft Myers today, I spot this little silver car in someone's front yard; I slow down and check it out. An rx4, complete minus engine and tranny, only small spots of surface rust nothing major at all. The best part 1200.00. Looks like a build there's in the future. Biggest ? Is do I put my tII motor in the se and my se in the rx4 hummmm?
