On The Road To Restoration... Part 1 Stage 1

Well, I had started a thread several years ago back in 9/2011. I believe it was titled something like on the fence.

Real quick shout out for those who contributed to that thread!

Now the situation has changed I've decided to Keep My 72' Duce! She has and suspect always been a keeper!

Problem is I don't have the time to give her the proper TLC she needs to put her back on the road. Compounding this is the rust as well as I'm going to live abroad for several years.

The solution I've come up with is Corroseal Rust Convertor. This is not by any means a fix, just a "Band Aid" until I can do the proper ; disassembly, metal fabrication, tubbing, 9" rear end and so on.

I'm hoping that this rust convertor will hold up to its claims. Basically, convert rust back into a iron state, primed, and will not rust again. I guess only time will tell.

I'll throw up photo's when I get to my PC... I thought I'd be able to do it from my phone but, cant seem to find the option.

Cheers All!

Aite sorry people haven't been keeping up with my car... got bigger things to handle BUT, I do need to get past the rust issue before I leave stateside!!! IT'S A MUST!!

Ran through most of the car... as far as the front end is concerned. Need to do the underside and rear inner quarter panels.

I have been trying to put up some photos but, I took them with my phone so, I guess resolution is too high? won't let me upload them.

Any suggestions?

As stated in your previous thread, you will be time/money/frustration ahead by finding a better shell, and using your good parts on it. You're in a good spot geographically to get one. Keep your eyes open.
