What is the safest way to remove the Mazda emblem from the boot lid without breaking the tangs? Is that possible? The boot lid has reinforcements that obscure the emblem tangs and associated hold down clips.

Rear fender emblems were simple from easy access in the trunk.

I have a Mazda badge on the 74 to take off. The 76 has a Mazda badge & a Rotary Engine badge. I need to remove all three from both lids.

Preservation is my goal.
Any ideas?
