I bought that rx2

I ended out buying that rx2 sedan off of RHDae86. Yes, it was previously owned by Orville. I pretty much tapped out but I plan soon to work on the body and interior. I been looking for a long time and the search is finally over.

Glad somebody who appreciates an old school rotary bought it. Seen some of the crap that he posts on Club4AG and sounds very immature. Congratulations man!

rx2 sedan

Yeah thanks, fchoncho,

He was fairly young and wasn't completely into the car. He was creating a stir on multiple fronts (Craigslist, club4ag, and here). It's actually funny how I found out he had the car. As I say I was obsessively searching ebay, craigslist, and this forum for an early rotary within my financial reach and distance (So I could see what I was buying). I happened to see a message on craigslist describing a chance meeting with a person that had just traded an vehicle for the rx2 and thank he had obtained his number. The description sounded strangely familiar to Orville's RX2, I had previously questioned if still had it for sale. So I asked this person to have the new owner contact me but he never did. The next day, I noticed someone had attached a for sale post on a tread I started. Well, could it just be coincidence? I don't know. But after several negotiations, I got it at a fair price. Frankly, I think the seller was relived to sell it before it cramped out on him. He also wanted it to go to a good home since he could not readily put money into it. The car definitely, needs some work but it's a good starting point. As I said, I can't do anything to it because lack of funds but soon enough I will.
Thanks for the interest. ( I hope I didn't bore you with the details)

Yeah, I thought so too. However, the owner got second thoughts of letting it go for that price. Stated he had someone that was going to offer him $2800 but he had to wait a couple of weeks. I didn't go forward because it seemed like a bait and switch. If you advertise something at a certain price that should be the price not $500 more.

WOW

I have seen this car first hand and it is pretty rough. I live in Oroville and this guy lives right across the street from a relative. My relative called me hoping I would add it to my collection so they didnt have listen to it start up each morning. I would stay away from it as it actually looks worse in person. With every trim and and panel needing to be replaced. I had high hopes of finding a original car only to see this when I had turned the corner a few months back. After seeing how bad it was I didnt even bother knocking on the door... and I have been known to buy some peices of **** from time to time.

thats good to know, because about a month ago he had it posted with no pictures and when i called he made it sound like it was pretty clean with a little quarter panel damage... and then this latest ad with pictures just turned me off... glad i didnt waste my time
