Is there any repair for these monsters? It runs to beat the band but dont suck or blow,this makes for a non operating engine unless I sit on the fender and pour gas into thr carb. I don't think that this is the reccomended way to go. Anyone with any good ideas on finessing one??? Bob fuel I know better

 

use a test light or VOM for juice going to the pump before buying a new pump.

 

unhook the fuel line to the tank the pump may be fine and it is a clogged line from your tank.My cosmo had plugged lines from rust and I had to send it out to get sandblasted and resealed but the pump was still fine

 

The pump is getting power and runs, the line from the tank is clear , can blow and hear bubbles. It just wont prime, and if I prime it it wont hold. ??

 

ok since your line and tank are clear you got off cheap. just get a replacement pump(first gen rx-7 or carter would be my choice) and you should be good to go
