When was this published ? From the projected dates, I would say 2004 or 2005.

If so, market and global forces (e.g., mileage consciousness is up) have definitely changed.

^^ Don't Like ^^
Obviously the article above is old BUT if you look at the top pick it looks like an MX6 which is definitly NOT what I would want my next 7 to look like...
As for the new pics, I really don't like the styling dirrection that Mazda is going to. Every thing they are designing has the RX-8 front.

The Kabura is nowhere near as sexy as the FD. IMO, they should have kept the same general design as the FD. and i still stand by the fact that they should us an N/A 3 rotor for the power plant; more reliable plus more power, perhaps...

mazda NEEDS a new flagship sports car to keep up with the next "supra" and the 350z update coming out in the near future, mazda knows about the 7 following and how many people want it back, i honestly believe its time for its return, and hopefully in a huge way, it probably wont be quite what everyone wants but i'm sure it'll be great, i mean just look at the MX-5 and the Mazdaspeed 3 and 6 considering what you get for the pricetags on those vehicles i'm anxious to see this supposed new 7

BTW . . . the freaking rx-8 should have looked like this

if the 8 looked like that, with a little more power, I would own one.

Definitely, is that a photoshopped picture or a concept?

Thumbs down

As my first post on this fourm i"ll say this, that Kabura concept is one of the ugliest piece's of garbage i have ever seen.Mazda should be ashamed for coming out with such a concept. The 3RD GEN RX7 is the most unique and beautiful car to ever come out of Japan. No need to tarnish the RX7's heritage with those hideous concept's,they might as well never release one period.

They should just do exactly what American car companies are doing. Steal styling from the originals.

it seems like they always try to come out with something new and extravagant. they could very well take something that worked good for them (previous rx7s) and use some of their styling with new ideas. that way they are keeping the same rx7 sporty look while producing a new line. thats how i think it should be. alot of companies go overboard with trying something TOTALLY new.
