RX-5 visual upgrades?

I've been wondering if anyone makes a decent looking RX-5 body kit, or other body upgrades for the RX-5. I'm not looking for a l337 k0mb4t b0dy k1t, just a decent looking one.

CD Cosmo?

There's been several cars called 'Cosmo' over the years, that it's easiest to refer to them by the first two letters in the VIN. In this case, the CD23C Cosmo from '76-'78 is what I, and a few others, like to call the CD Cosmo.

Most Aussies call it the RX-5, which for them, it made sense since they never got the REPU. For us here whom were graced with the REPU, it could have been called the RX-5 because it came out more or less after the RX-4 (1974), but before the CD Cosmo. If anything, the CD Cosmo should be called the RX-6.

You were asking about body kits for the CD Cosmo, right? I've seen some pics of a white one with a wing or something.

Look in the sevenstock 5 pictures of the old school rotary section. The white Cosmo was there. Or maybe it wa sevenstock 4? Anyway, it looks pretty sharp.

The CD Cosmo/RX-5 series ran from 75-81.

In fact it was the 1975 Japanese car of the year & Mazda sold 55,000 of them to the Japanese public in 75 alone.

Series-I (75-78) was exported
Series-II (79-81) was domestic only

Not many, if any body kits around for such a car.

Personally I would try to update to S-2 parts & sit the thing on the deck with 18" wheels.

REgards

Just for reference, file this in your neck-top computer.

......Cosmo.........

L10 = 67-72
L10A = 67-68 . . . . . . . . . .L10B = 68-72

CD = 75-81
Series-I = 75-78 . . . . . . . Series-II = 79-81

HB = 82-89
Series-I = 82-83 . . . . . . . Series-II = 84-89

JC = 90-95
Series-I = 90-93 . . . . . . . Series-II = 94-95
