AB RX-3 years, models and options

Hello everyone. My father and I are possibly looking into purchasing a RX-3, most likely a roller. We have a few questions regarding certain options and the years/models they were available in. First off is the tail lights, we really like the square ones and aren't sure what year they were available. Second, the front+ rear bumpers, what model had the black plastic ones? Lastly the rear window louvres, model, year?

the rx3 ran from 72 to 78. bumpers and grill changed through out the yrs, but none had plastic bumpers. i think the sp was only in 77 and 78. be prepared to pay quite abit for one tho.

your basically looking for a SP, it's possible to get one for less then 5 grand but it would be a big project, your best bet in my opinion is that you would find one in the west coast of the US. Or you could buy a 74-78 rx3 and just find the bits and pieces to build a SP.

good luck

there are 3 types of 3. not all markets got all 3 serieses. this list is for the US models

the 71-73, S1. twin dizzy, thermal reactor, chrome bumpers

74-76 S2. engine got redone, iron apex seals, single distributor. the nose cone got redone, and we gained the big steel bumpers, still chrome, just BIG

77-78 S3. looks the same to me, but its not. the SP was an option, different suspension/mechanicals/5 speed.

I have an R100 and an SP, both for sale, both have current plates and titles!

Rx3-Sp is driven everyday and the R100 is now complete and almost a daily driver!

each in the 8500 range...

Tons of extra parts...

I will post an ad, and list on ebay soon....
