RX-3 Front brake suggestions?
RX-3 Front brake suggestions?
after a lapping session least week I noticed I had a broken front wheel stud... today, while changing front wheels I realised I now have another wheel stud about to come out... they are stripping the thread in the actual hub...
What do you guys suggest I do? drill, and repair with a helicoil??
OR what about some other upgrade? what exactly is involved when upgrading to a an FB front brake disc and caliper. I have front coil-overs and Koni Shocks now, I really don't want to change these...
My concern is retaining my 13x8 autoX wheels.
While on the topic, for those racers out there what sort of alignment set-ups are you using... I am thinking pretty much as much neg camber as possible, and with 0-toe.
ALSO, is there a way to lower the rear?? Does anyone know of anyone who has drop-leaf springs available??? the rear can be lowered at least 2 inches.

i'm pretty sure that the complete strut assembly from a 1st gen, less the lower control arm, will bolt right up. even the rotors themselves may be an exact swap. as for lowering the rear, 2" will be too much causing it to sit directly on the rubber stop directly above the 3rd member. putting a block between the springs and the axle will lower the rear, u'll also need longer "U" bolts.
In Australia we developed a single rear leaf to replace the original stack, this lowered the rear 2" and made huge increases in handling and performance, I think the company was called Centerline in Thomastown, Victoria. These guys really know rotary suspension
