rx-2 steering wheel upgrade.

Looking at getting a new steering wheel for the rx-2 to get rid of that big orginal one. So here are the questions.

I'm looking for a grant/bride/momo steering wheel with a quick release hub.

So what Hub/adapter will work on the rx-2?

Anyone have any links?

Any info on this would be greatly aperciated. Only changed the steering wheel on my FC.. never took the rx-2 apart before... is it similar? One bolt, and the steering wheel is a sprocket?

Well thanks alot guys. I tried searching but didn't find any info.. and ausrotary.com is lagging like crazy for some reason, so couldn't search there either.

Thanks again.

on mine, I have an enardi wheel, 6 or 8 little bolts for the wheel then I think a
21mm deep well socket to get the hub off.

I think the RX 7 Momo adapter works, buts needs minor modification.

I bet 1st gen rx7 will fit.

If it helps, I know for a fact Rx4/REPU/1st gen all use same diameter and splined steering shaft. Their steering wheels are interchangeable.

RX2, RX3, RX4, RX5 Cosmo, REPU, SA, FB, B-2000 and Ford Courier all use the same size stering shaft splines. Possibly GLC and 626 as well.

Thanks, Jeff!

What about the 626? Anyone know if the 626 is also interchangeable?

I wonder if Fiestas use the same spline, hmmm...

(That burning smell is just me getting an idea, nothing to worry about...)

I'm using the Momo 5702 hub, but it's not a quick release hub though. No modifications needed. Just remove you old steering wheel (one nut). Also, you might run a steering wheel with more depth/dish. Here is mine with my monte carlo. I have a prototipo but with either one the signal light switch is a little too close. I might run a spacer to bring the steering wheel closer to me.
