I'm sure someone makes mounts for the bolt up man, I see ka24des and **** in corollas all day. Just search, and if you do go 13bt if possible and make it worth your while. Realistically you could do the swap for 3-3500 if you take your time. And in that price range that should be no shortcuts but Im sure you could scrape by with $2-2500

Maybe a 20b?

http://forums.club4ag.com/zerothread?id=745&page=2

Carburated...

Do it! Just weld up the mounts and get a driveline. don't see any problems, easier if carb'd too...

Probably would need some other stuff too...
Good luck!

why do all that work when you can find other motors that will bolt right in?

If you can do fabrication yourself, it probably won't cost too much over top of the swap itself. My only concern would be the wiring..... that's always a pain. My advice would be to run a standalone, that would save a ton of headaches.

Hello for the drive shaft you need the yoke from the mazda trans & the yoke from your toyota drive shaft for the diff side ,take it to a drive shaft shop & tell them how long it needs to be end to end. Its not hard at all to change a FI motor to a arb set up. I put a 13b 6 port on single side draft into ny 73 MANGO/TE chassis wich share alot with the AE chassis.

For the motor mount I used an early style 13B front cover, then get the mount from a first gen RX, situate the motor where you want it, then I wraped the frame rails in the engine bay with 1/8 x2" angle iron. Then mod/ add to the Mazda motor mount so it reaches the rails L & R weld it in. So its kinda like a motor plate or a mid plate but in front. If your going carb get an MSD ignition unit, plumb the fuel, get a header & mod it as needed or do it one off & do the cooling system. DONE easy yea!!!!1

What's your budget, skill level, and how much free time do you have? That should ultimately decide what you can do with it. Honestly I'd say just do a 3rd gen 3SGTE swap and start beating up on everything

U want cheap?

Get a 12A U can make ur own mounts with a few metal bars and bolts.

Since the engine mount bolts sit right in the front of the engine it make things really easy.

Plus its carburated.

B-port the living crap out of it, RB intake mani. w/ holly 650. and some rb headers

and your good for around 200- 230 whp.. make those 20 valves look like crap.

with a red line of about 9-11,000 =D

WHat is the goal with this car? I drift my AE and love my 4AG, 20v are a waste of time, for the amount of work you might as well do the rotary swap.

That was the alternative to telling you to search...

I know there are a few threads on this topic, here is one I happened to have saved... it has a few pics but not a whole lot of info.
https://www.rx7club.com/old-school-other-rotary-63/ae86-rotary-project-612545/?pp=15

Try searching some of the AE forums, you'll find some good info there.
You'll probably have less of a headache if you just do a 4AGZE swap.

G'day,
yeah i've seen a few AE86 with rotor conversions. One i saw at a drift comp with a 13bT.. ****** TUFF!!!!

If your goa through the trouble of bolting up a rotor why not go turbo, tonnes of power from the get go, and it's in a light shell so it'll boogy hard!! THe NA motor you'll have to spend money on it to get it to the same standard as the 13bT.

Go the rota in tha hachi roku!!! i hell wanted to do that when i first got my license.
