rotary swap info

ok, i have a 1984 vw rabbit that has a good motor in it, and drives great. the fc is down for a re build this winter, and i just bought a suv with my step dad.

my co worker has a fc sitting in his drive way... could i get some info as to how to go about swapping his motor trans and rear end into my vw?

i know that its a far fetched idea, but i would like to gather info so that when i gather all of the bits and pieces, i can throw it in, and have a wicked fast mutt.

any technicial info would be great, and im open to any[B]positive[B] advice, info, comments.

thanks

Become good friends with your local fabricator. Turning a FWD car into a RWD car is all custom work. Look where your going to need to reinforce the body on the VW and figure out how your going to mount the motor and transmission. Threre is nothing easy about what your thinking about doing, and I really doubt there are to many people that have done exactly what your thinking about doing. And be prepared to spend a mountian of money.

I think the Australians have a kit to make a FWD Rotary.
