rotary miata engine management question
ok, so i'm in the process of planning out a rotary swap for my miata project. now at first i was just gonna run a naturally aspirated carb'ed setup. but now a buddy of mine is trying to convince me to go with a fuel injected turbo setup. i don't want anything crazy though. my argument with my buddy was that i don't want to have to buy some expensive engine management unit for the swap. he asked me if it was possible to just run a turbo II motor, with the stock turbo II ecu and harness. i don't know if this is possible, so i figured that the best place to ask would be here.
so thats my question. is it possible to just run a stock turbo II engine using the turbo II harness and ecu in a miata conversion?
any suggestions?

yes you can do it read up in the 1stgen and 2ndgen section on the swap i have found 90% of my awnsers here on the site the other 10% was going through the wire diagrams etc
altho i fully customized my harness and rewired everything to suit my repu most people just swap the harness in and cut the un used things off
you will need to get
ems harness
pressure sensor
atmospheric sensor
varible resisitior
if its 87 and under low inpedence resistor
main realy would be nice
ecu
mass air flow sensor
throttle position sensor
o2sensor is nice to
if you cant get all this at once for cheap the next route would be megasquirt.
thats all for now good luck.

yes is it very posible and quite easy that way..or you can do what i did and buy a used ek6 or something like that...i paid 500 for everything incl sensors and wideband............
if you get a donnor rx7 with everythign in it..just swap out parts from donnor to miata.....
PS do a turbo it will be much more fun on the road...I race a NA 350 hp car..and i love it...but i want a 400 + road car....lol
