NY Rotary Miata Build!

Ill be posting for my uncle as he just doesn't have the time to go online for this, but it all started out with the 87 turbo rx and after someone had sabotaged it and blew his motor there was no place to keep the shell, so it was given away. After that the idea to put a rotary into a miata began. He found one through craigslist down in the city for cheap and also ordered a 91 JDM turbo motor from a company in Canada around the summer of 2008. Since then its just been a matter of collecting parts, money, and time =p Hes picking up information as he goes along so if theres any info you may want to add to help feel free.

Moving ahead a few years and work on the project has finally started. At the moment were are working on mounting the motor and tranny

The original machine

The new machine

mounting 85 front cover and oil pan

Mounting 91 tranny

placing in bay to see where were at

Right now were just trying to get it into the car so we can make mounts for the motor and tranny. Its stock at the moment but its going to be getting some goodies once its hooked up.
