Rotary Go-Kart

I know its been brought up before. And I've seen the website. But I was wondering about a little more power. Of course with more power you would need more weight so the kart would have to be longer. But I think it would be worth it to have a turbo charged 13b on a track go kart. Any guesses on how much it would cost? I dont even wanna know how fast it'll go. I could probably use it on the highway though.

Shifter karts are already super fast, and light.
I don't think you'd want any more speed than that unless you were planning to race nascar with it.
and nascar is more boring to watch than baseball. that's saying something.

I don't really think you could put the power from a 13BT down to the street in a kart. They normally use 125-250cc engines, and go seriously fast with those; If you use an engine of 10x that capacity, you'll have a lot wheelspin

Yeah I don't see the point really, you've seen the 13BT go-kart right? That has 4 tires in the back and all they do is spin. Even an NA rotary would be way overkill. I don't know if you've seen the go-kart with the GSX1100 engine (115ps) but I think thats about as far as you want to go on something so small and still have it be somewhat useful. Have you ever driven a race go-kart? The 250 shifter karts are already scary fast.

CAR AND DRIVER WANTED TO KNOW IF A Z06 CORVETTE COULD KEEP UP WITH A YAMAHA 250CC SHITER CART.

SO THEY TOOK THEM TO A NASCAR TRACK AND THE SHITER CART WAS SICK ON HOW FAST IT WOULD PULL AWAY AFTER THE Z06 WAS AT IS MAX. AND THEN THE LITTLE YAMAHA SAID BYE BYE...

Does anyone have pictures of aircooled rotaries? I know the Suzuki RE5 had a radiator like the water buffalo 750, not sure about the Nortons though. A go-kart with an air-cooled single rotor would be pretty cool.

hahahahahahaha

will you use a ported engine ? i heard you can get nice power if u simply drill holes in the rotor housing, 5-6 inch higher than the exhaust ports, rather than use the normal intake ports...
