rotary in a Camaro
Depends on what you want from the car and how much you got to spend. It'll probably cost alot.
Plus you have to figure if it's worth it or not. I could put a lawn mower engine in a car but that doesn't mean it's worth it..
Personally I think there are better motors and cheaper alternatives to be thrown in(big CI's)..

You know there was a rotary powered mustang.... in the late 60s I beleive.
on another note.... why in gods name would you bother putting a rotary in an 88 camaro? What is your reasoning..... is it for spite??? Well sure it can be done by any competent individual. But the fact that one would ask such a stupid question forfets any mechanical abilities..... so now the question is, "can you do it", and the answer is obviously no. In conclusion, you my freind are an idiot..... are you posting drunk???

flame me i guess, but i think that the rotary in his camaro would be another interesting conversion...
with the larger engine bay size, even the 3 rotor would be conceivable...
Maybe this aerodogg, is some kind of rotary fanatic and wants a rotary in all his cars?!? Perhaps he has a blown engine...or even the v6 in the Camaro, and has time, interest, to take on the project.
I say it is cool that he is trying to put a rotary in a Camaro...on the subject, how about a 13BT in the AE86--that would deffinetly rock!
Laters,
Edgardo

Yes a 13b in a toyota AE86 is cool.
A 13b turbo or not.... hell even a 20b in a camaro is lame. Why waste a perfectly good turbo rotary on a 3rd gen camaro..... Aside from that, you could build a perfectly good small block, or big block for that matter for thousands less and have shitloads more HP and reliability. The camaro weighs in at around 3K to 3400 pounds depending on the model of camaro.... Fact is that the rotary engine just isnt very suitable for cars over 3K pounds, with the cosmo being an exception.
Rotary in a camaro hah! Investing that kind of money into a car that is only worth 3K dollars tops is illogical and nobody will want it because it will be slow. On top of that the sound of a rotary will not compliment the looks of the 80s camaro.

Camaros are good cars.
Hillbillies can't AFFORD Camaros... they spend their money on trucks and 10' satellite dishes
Most people with Camaros that I've met are rather well-educated, non-hillbilly type people. Go out in the sticks and you don't see too many Camaros, just acres and acres of trucks...
