Rim offsets for RX-2 and RX-4

I'm looking at some 14"x7" rims for an RX-2 and an RX-4.

The offset options on the rims is a +10 or a -47.

Now I'm thinking the -47 offset wouldn't work which is too bad cause they look bad ***.
How about the +10 offset rims, would they work with the stock bodied RX-2 and RX-4 ?

Anyone info would be great

Well I do know the -47 is traditionally an FWD offset. I have not had a chance to look at back spacing on my RX2 to know if it will work or not.

FL Rim Offset

I also have a question on the RX2 offset. I want to buy some 15x6.5 they are 4x114.3 and I know that is the bolt pattern of a RX7 GSL-SE, but I'm going to purchase some adapters that go from 4x110 to 4x114.3 and they are 1". The only thing that I'm worried about is that the rims have a 40 offset, just wondering if they will work??? Wacky help!

measurement in mm devided by 25.4 equals measurement in inches:

12.7mm / 25.4 = .5"

40mm offset = 1.575"

R100, 1200, 1300, RX-2, Capella, RX-3, 808, RX-4, older 929s, RWD 323s, RWD 626s and Series 1/2 RX-7:

Stud pattern = 4x110 PCD
Offset = +20
NOTE: 70s European cars such as Escorts and Saabs which appear to fit are actually 4x108 PCD.

For any of the old RX's, the ideal size is 15x8 with a backspace of 4.50-5.00. I use 4.75 on all my cars as I like it wider inside. The outside lip is where it makes a difference. Due to the design on a RX-2, if you go too wide and too low, it will rub. so you just have to play with the height. For example is our project RX-4. I upgraded it to a 1st gen front brakes and Tokico blues. But I had to play with different spring height and spring stiffness to suite the driver's habit. I went from coil overs to racing beat front springs, tokico and TMC, then back to stock FB springs for a nicer ride. Not too bouncy and not to soft due to tokico blues. For the rear, went from 2" lowering blocks to 1" and back to 1.5".

here are a few pics

Nice, good info. So the +10 offset will probably fit pretty well.

Or multiply it by .03937

12.7mm x .03937 = .499999 Gives you a few more decimal places

My SSR RS-8's are +9 and +12, fit perfect, no rubbing. 6.5 front, 7 rear. Easy 195/205 combo. These are on a '73 Rx2 BTW.

I didn't see this earlier but are your sure -47 is traditionally for front wheel drive cars? the last time I check lower offset wheels are for RWD with big wheels and flares. My skyline has 9.5" wheel in the rear with a -21 offset in the rear just to give you an idea.
